What Is Concierge Psychiatry?

Concierge psychiatry is a membership-based model of psychiatric care in which patients pay a recurring fee rather than billing insurance for each visit. The membership funds the things fee-for-service settings often cannot: longer appointments, a consistent clinician, and defined access between visits. At Mynd Works Psychiatry in Austin, Texas, membership covers evaluation, medication management when appropriate, psychotherapy, and ongoing support within clearly defined boundaries.

How does concierge psychiatry work?

Patients select a membership level and pay a monthly fee. In return, the practice commits to a documented set of services: an initial evaluation, ongoing psychiatric care, defined communication access for routine needs, and, depending on the level, additional services such as genetic testing, priority refills, and inclusion of functional or psychotherapy sessions.

Because the practice does not depend on billing volume, appointments can be longer and the clinician's time can be allocated to the depth of care rather than the speed of the schedule.

What does concierge psychiatric care include?

At Mynd Works, care can include a thorough psychiatric evaluation, collaborative medication planning, personalized treatment planning, measurement-based care, psychotherapy, and functional medicine nutrition, according to your needs and membership level.

Every level documents what is included, so patients know exactly what membership provides. Nothing is silently added or removed.

Who may benefit from this model?

People often choose concierge psychiatry when they want a consistent relationship with one clinician, appointments long enough to feel truly heard, and a defined way to reach the practice between visits for routine questions and refills.

It can also fit people who want psychiatric care, therapy, and nutrition coordinated in one place, or who prefer to pay directly rather than navigate insurance for mental health care.

How is Mynd Works different?

Mynd Works is built around five commitments: unhurried appointments, continuity with the same clinician, collaborative decisions about medication, measurement-based tracking of progress, and a whole-person view that includes functional medicine nutrition where appropriate.

These are structural, not slogans. They are funded by the membership model and documented in the care levels.

Is concierge psychiatry right for everyone?

No model fits everyone. Concierge psychiatry is a direct-pay, membership-based arrangement, and it is not an emergency service. Routine access has defined response expectations, and care remains subject to the normal limits of psychiatric treatment.

A consultation is the best way to decide: the practice will be candid about whether the model and approach fit your needs.
